Objectives Of NSS

The focal objectives of the scheme are “Development of the personality of students through community service.” This objective is sought to be achieved by enabling the students to:

1]	Understand the community in which they work.
2]	Understand themselves in relation to their community.
3]	Indentify the needs and problems in the community in the solution of which they can be involved.
4]	Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
5]	Apply their education in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.
6]	Develop competence required for group living and sharing responsibilities.
7]	Gain skills in mobilizing community participation.
8]	Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude.
9]	Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters.
10]	Practice national integration.

In our institute NSS was started in 2001 with strength of 50+1 adapted village Lokur , Mangasuli and special camps were conducted in adapted villages.
